Mosty Łódź was the leader of the consortium that carried out the project: "Construction of the University Route in Bydgoszcz along the section from ul. Powstańców Wielkopolskich to ul. Wojska Polskiego in Bydgoszcz, including engineering structures and access roads".
A new dual carriageway road, in a large part running on a trestle, was constructed under the project. The route has four distinctive points of communication:
- Beginning of the route – a single intersection of the following streets: Ogińskiego, Moniuszki and Sieńki.
- Diamond interchange – a double intersection with a county road, ul. Jagiellońska.
- Passage without interchange over National Road No. 80 – ul. Toruńska.
- End of the route – a single intersection with ul. Wojska Polskiego.
The construction work was completed in the autumn of 2013. The route length is now 1,578 metres and the difference in grade line levels is approx. 30 metres.
Project challenge: A bridge over the Brda River was constructed under the project. The bridge has a distinctive pylon consisting of two arms, named λ and Ω. A crane with a capacity of 350 tons was used for their installation. The bridge length is 200.85 m, with the suspension span length of 110 m.
